Go Speed Racer, Go!
It's been an unusual couple of days, so I'm going to break it up into a couple of entries. I was working at my mother's office on Monday, and a girl came in to interview for a job. She was incredibly attractive, had one of those really sweet but not overbearing southern accents, and was very polite. (The only negative that I noticed was that she smelled like she had bathed in perfume.) We made some small talk while she waited, and she gave me a huge wink when I opened the door for her to go in the room where the interview was going to be. I had my fingers crossed that she would be hired so that I'd see her again and could possibly ask her out. (I'm not a huge fan of flirting in front of family.) I found out the next morning that she had decided not to take the position because it pays almost nothing and doesn't leave enough time to work a second job. Hollywood Actors - What Now? The Screen Actors Guild primetime and film contract talks collapsed and the next day, the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists began their own primetime TV talks with the studios, raising fears of a SAG strike and heightened inter-union strife between SAG and AFTRA. The talks between SAG and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) - the studios - were less nasty than the WGA talks, but no less contentious. SAG had several goals: Improvements in new media, above and beyond the DGA and WGA deals. Doubling the DVD residual - which would be a renegotiation of a 24-year old deal, albeit one quite unfavorable to talent. SAG later revised this to a proposal that DVD residuals be subject to pension, health and welfare contributions, which would amount to a 15% increase. Requiring the studios to obtain actors' consent for reuse of movies and TV shows in new media, particularly in the form of clips. The... (more)

just realize what i just realized
I just realized... that i'm so blessed to be in God's arms... despite sa lahat ng mga struggles and hardships sa buhay.. i still consider myself as blessed.. blessed to be His princess.. so blessed to accept His love.. Ewan ko ba kung bakit paggising ko, ayun yung naiisip ko. Alam ko may kinalaman yung panaginip ko dito pero di ko na maalala ng malinaw yung panaginip ko. Basta paulit-ulit ko lang naiisip yung bagay na 'to. I'm so blessed.. ..dahil sa kabila ng lahat ng mga mapapait na karanasan sa buhay ko, marunong parin ako magmahal.. ..dahil sa kabila ng lahat ng mga pagkakamali, alam ko parin ang tama at mali.. ..dahil sa kabila ng mga planong di na matutuloy pa, natuto akong sumunod sa kalooban Niya.. ..dahil sa lahat ng mga problema, nalaman ko kung paano masaktan.. at kung paano bumangon at paano muling maniwala.. Misplaced Mind
What should I do?
I've always had a problem with letting go of something that I've grown accustomed to. Be it moving houses, leaving old college rooms, getting rid of an old hairband, and now I'm actually deciding to leave a place where I've made friends, got to know the blogdrive community, and documented my life for the past 4 years. I've tried moving my entire archive from this place over to blogspot but it's just not the same. I'll not be able to cart my comments and it would take too god damn long to move them post by post. Sigh~ This place has seen ups and downs, the ending of one relationship and the beginning of another. The beginning of my college days all the way through to uni and to my graduation. Beginning of a new job.. Should I move and start afresh there? On the downside, the server lags so badly that my grandmother, if she was still alive, could walk up and down the staircase to my house 5 times before my entire blog loads it takes 2 minutes before I can actually load the page...
